Someone very special came to visit us today. As you can see, Audrie is really quite a stunner, and as you can imagine, has absolutely no problem commanding the attention of the whole room....and even the ceiling too !! I asked her Daddy to hold her up toward the ceiling so I could get this shot from below. Her eyes really are that blue. She melts my heart !!

She's definitely got the personality for shooting commercials.....she loves people and lots of action....in between a power nap here and there. : )
I have a Nikon D80, but SO many people have Wonderful things to say about the D40 as well, if cost is an issue, which it really is for most of us. My friend has the cannon rebel, she takes some fabulous photos with that too. Which digital magazine do you subscribe to? I have been thinking of starting a subscription, it is mostly advertisements? that drives me bonkers. Thanks For all your support lately, it was much appreciated, I took a break or two just to look at the cute you post, Cute is a great stress releaser. ;-) I probably hit CO and ICHC a bazillion times in the last few days!
Oh thank you so much !!! It's such a boost coming from you cause you take such WONDERFUL photographs !!! This was taken with a compact camera that doesn't take such great photos, and the flash was way too bright. I used Gimp, a program that Stephel told me about, to correct the white balance. I don't know enough about the program to get rid of the shadow behind her, but I'll figure it out. I was so excited about getting the shot that I wanted to post it right away...and I figured with those eyes who'd notice the shadow anyway !!!
My husband ordered me a subscription of "Shutterbug" for my birthday and also gave me a couple digital photography books...all in support of a longtime dream that I never even talked about until I started posting on Vox.
Your work has been a great source of encouragement and excitement for me from the first time I started visiting your blog, and I'm sure your words and photographs bring beauty and encouragement to many others as well.
Sharing the cute is a LOT of fun for me....there's so much ugliness in this world, so taking time for silliness, friendship, and creativity makes my life better and I hope brings some joy to others also !!!
OMGosh....don't you know it. I'm still overwhelmed. It had been 6 weeks since I last saw her, and she was so much more interactive. I swear I could feel the earth move when she laughed !!

OMGosh....she's really THAT cute for real !! It was such a joy to see her and spend time with her.
Do you have any suggestions for getting rid of the slight red cast in her eyes....but not ruin to vivid natural blue ??
I also want to get rid of the harsh shadow behind her... I've been experimenting Gimp, a program that Stephel told me about, but I haven't figured out how to eliminate unwanted background shadows yet.
