Theobromine is the chemical that is found in chocolate (and coffee, if I'm remembering right) it can cause seizures and heart failure. Luckily it takes a somewhat large dose but smaller doses may cause trouble too.

My grandpa taught their dachsund Fritzie to sneeze on command for fudge. He also did it for gum. It was a bloody miracle that dog lived to an old age - LOL. Fritzie was quite talented.
